Glass Pendants

  This style of pendant is called a "tube implosion".  I take a small section of tubing, heat it up with my torch, and puff it into a bubble.  I then melt color dots and lines to make my designs and patterns.  Once I am finished putting what will be in the pendant, i melt the bubble down into a solid.  The work i did on the bubble then "sinks" into the clear, giving the work depth, as well as some beautiful fading to the colors.
  On this pendant, I fumed the bubble with gold and silver, then took a small (1mm) stringer of glass, and drew, backwards, the word "Lover" followed by the hearts.  Surrounding this I put dots, to frame the center.  Beautiful purples quickly fade to green, then to golden yellows in the center.  Love and Lover are my favorite words to implode.. cause.. all you need is love!  do    do doo doo.. ... ... doo doo? what!
