Glass Pendants
Ruby and White Floral
This is a Floral style pendant, or dot implosion. I start with a clear rod, heat the end, squish it so it looks like a big T. Then i melt color and clear dots onto the top of the T in whatever pattern I want.
Then, as I melt the T down, the color melts into the clear, and blossoms up into the clear. By using some clear, I can change the form of the dots, and get more forms, as well as even more depth.
Some internal designs lend themselves to being round.. and some don't. The ones that don't, like this one, are generally even more striking because of it. The light moves through this pendant differently than a round pendant.
This pendants outermost petals have a beautiful fade from their white background to a beryl brown (which is very hard to see in the picture), then the ruby red petals are outlined in white, as well as having white centers. The colors on this look fantastic, and the fine outlines of the ruby petals sets them off beautifully.
